Since my orginial post more has come to light. The Studebaker coupe was wrecked, but also had problem with fan clearence. The engine went into a prewar Ford I think. It seems nobody knows what eventually happened to the Packard engine or the Studebaker coupe.Joe Roberts

That top photo of the black Lark wagon was taken in California. The car belonged to my brother, Dan Sallia, and was called the "Deceptive Lark". He ran it at Irwindale, Long Beach, San Fernando, and a number of other drag strips in Southern California. It had a 259 V8. It was later replaced with a similarly painted Silver Hawk.
Not sure where you came by this photo but it is cool to see it. That was a long time ago.Ed Sallia
