Too bad, I could use the correct 57 trunk lid. I would even drive as far as Texas for a correct 57-58 Hawk trunk lid

  • Ohhhh, top of the heap no less😉

          Yep; always on top!

      • Whenever I look at junkyard photos, I always think about the fact that every single one of those were once shiny and new, and somebody was so excited to pick it up. Father proudly bringing home the new family car, local farmer finally saved up enough to get himself that new truck, brand new car to go off to college or celebrating a promotion, any number of stories… yet they all ended up abused, used up, and cast off in a junkpile. There’s a couple different life lessons in there.

I learned to reverse in when parking from my mother who said "you might be in a hurry when leaving & it's way easier to see forwad than backwards, especially if you're a bit stressed & you have less of the car in front of you than rearwise, don't be short minded", smart woman that one! (& this were the days when you had to leave the film from the camera to be developed)
When I lived in Holland I noticed that people never(!) reversed their cars when parking but they would ofen leave the window rolled down even when there was rain coming...

That's angle parking, it's the one situation where it would be wrong to back in.

                    • Is that a twofer? I can't tell if the car on the far left is a Stude or a Plymouth.
