  • From Thousand Oaks, CA “through the lens” library collection. Building was torn down in the 1968 to make room for SR23 to merge with the 101.

  • This is more like "Track-side Argentina" than roadside America, but I think it still works.

      Thanks Bob - you probably had no idea this thread would have such a long life - it will probably be in the first couple of pages as long as the forum is up and running.


  • Parking lot on Olive street LA when they were tearing down Bunker Hill (1957). Love the cars, but it's a sad view.

              Dealerships used to stage publicity pics like this with high school seniors and run them as "Congratulations Graduates" sponsored ads in the yearbooks.

                      What is interesting in this photo, in addition to the Studebaker, is the Chrysler Traveler. That is the first one i have seen caught in the wild so many years ago. I know this is a Stude site but I have a Traveler as well.
