ID:	2050803 Here’s a picture that I came across recently. My Dad bought new cars every year as he typically put 15-18,000 miles on them. In 1956 and 1957 he bought Studebakers. Here is a picture of the 1956 sedan he had. This is at Mt Shasta in Northern California where we were living at the time. Dad’s note on the back of the pictures says late Aug 1956. I’m the little guy leaning on the bumper, Moms holding my younger sister.

          Wow, that is a lot of ice for late August. Must have been a mighty cold winter.

      • We have snowpacks like that here in Washington, but typically seen in late May or early June, especially Chinook Pass, which is closed in winter!

                  If you look at the curb running along the cars on this side of the street, you have the same thing - probably precip of some type.
