Man, I wish I had any. It didn't last and I lost a whole lot more than I knew at the time.

For 1960, there are not a lot of almost new Cars in that one, mostly '56 & '57.
I think the newest is that one 1959 Buick Convert, that part of Town must not be THE most affluent !

        • I don't see anything newer than 1951, Hollywood people sure could afford a LOT of brand new Cars !
I think I see at least One "Old Car", possibly that Light Blue one just in front of the windshield of the '51 Chev. Convert is a '40's Stude. or other '40's Make.

The convertible next to passing red Stude is I believe a Ford that had the double dagmars...

Looks like a 1957 President 2 Door Sedan. A fairly rare model!

Van Nuys, California, circa 1952. This area and others in the San Fernando Valley still flooded every couple of years when I was a kid, before all the rivers and streams were lined with concrete. Building in the background is General Motors' Van Nuys Assembly plant, where vehicles from Chevy trucks to Pontiac Firebirds were built from 1947 through 1992. Sure looks that way, doesn't it? My grandfather made similar mods to his '50 Land Cruiser - he worked in the desert - so I'm going to assume these are the same kind of shade tree custom work. The photo listing doesn't say anything about them.

Van Nuys, California, 1950. Just barely before my time, but that could be my dad's new Chevy the black Commander sedan has just passed, on the right. Photo courtesy Water and Power Associates / waterandpower.org, digitally redeveloped by Skwirlijvieux
