It's from a comic by Franquin, a Belgian artist.
One more, an actual pic from the album:

I bought one of those 1:43 replicas a few years ago. They also did a Tin Tin late 40's Stude but maybe you already knew this

              • Check out the far right row; the cars cut in half by the lens' field of vision. Third car up; is that an Astra White 1964 Daytona or Cruiser 4-door? (If not, what is it?)

                • I guess you mean this one? Could be. You are a lot more familiar with the details of that model than I am.

                  1952 Commander 2 door. Really fine 259.

I believe that he is referring to the one that is one closer than the one indicated by your arrow.

America Pickers with a some 1963 Auto Show footage with an attractive model opening a '63 Wagonaire roof from the inside and standing beside it later and some other '63 Stude are shown. I've never seen that footage before. Does anyone know what city it's from?

https://www.history.com/shows/americ...-20/episode-11 Hopefully others can view it, I can't.

                        edit.. possibly New York?
The guy was talking about how his Dad started in L.A. with his Searchlight Business.
So there is a chance that Video is the Los Angeles Auto Show at the Pan Pacific Auditorium. It is AWESOME!

It is too bad, while he is talking about Chevy and Ford being in Detroit, they are showing this COOL Studebaker footage!

I am thinking that film COULD belong to the Searchlight Co. but it also could belong to the Producers. I would love to see the uncut version.

One reason I say that is, I believe that Lady at the end with that Huge United Press International Camera may have been in a Wagonaire!
As we do know that UPI bought a fleet of them in '63 and '64.

That Pickers Show is mostly good, but in that other episode I hated to see their Mechanic fight to repair that '56 Transtar with the '61-'64 Styleside Bed, when if they had known Studebakers, they could have bought the right Parts instead of cobbling and cutting it up to Rube Goldberg it to work.

Thank you John for posting that link, I had not seen that episode at the Auto Show.
