  • This might be way to off topic; not American & no roadside photo either, but a hint of the Studebaker image & status in Europe:

It's from a comic by Franquin, a Belgian artist.
One more, an actual pic from the album:

        • Hey Nox,
I posted about this one a few years ago but in an other topic. I have this miniature and Franquin is one of my best loved Belgian artists, as well as Maurice Tillieux and Edgar P. Jacobs.
          Happy Sunday to all.

                • I love that picture (10805) every time I see it.
Also a fine example of why western cars were shipped with oil bath filters!

                  • Yet another program of American Pickers featuring a bunch of Studebakers: August 06, 2018

                    • Did anyone watch the Hard Ball Town Hall with Pete Buttigieg telecast from Fresno California? The program started with a visit to South Bend and they talked about the closing of Studebaker and how that changed the town. There was some historical film showing the production line and then current footage of the newly renovated Administration building. I was surprised they covered that and that it was considered an important part of the overall South Bend story.

At least 3 Studes down there. Must be a dealership across the street.

Stewart Motor Company was a few blocks north.

America Pickers with a some 1963 Auto Show footage with an attractive model opening a '63 Wagonaire roof from the inside and standing beside it later and some other '63 Stude are shown. I've never seen that footage before. Does anyone know what city it's from?

                                edit.. possibly New York?
