Speaking of movies, the picture in Vernonia, Oregon might be from the 1961 movie "Ring of Fire" starring David Janssen and mostly filmed in Vernonia. I remember an early street scene that did have a '55 Conestoga wagon in it. My grandparents lived near Scappoose, Oregon, not far from Vernonia. In 1961, this was a big happening in the local area.

Yeah I agree-it looks to be a shot while the actors are between takes? If I remember it was a good movie for car spotting.

The black & white photo in 6753 is of the only Studebaker that Trautwein's ever built. They were located about a half mile south of my friend's father's dealership, Kovac Motors, in Woodbridge N.J.


Kovac Motors was torn down around 1973 but I wonder if Trautwein's is still there. It's been 8 years since I was even in N.J. last.
