Wow, wouldn't the child welfare and SPCA jump all over this picture if a manufacturer used it in an ad today? (Kid and dog not belted in, no child seat, etc..........)

Speaking of movies, the picture in Vernonia, Oregon might be from the 1961 movie "Ring of Fire" starring David Janssen and mostly filmed in Vernonia. I remember an early street scene that did have a '55 Conestoga wagon in it. My grandparents lived near Scappoose, Oregon, not far from Vernonia. In 1961, this was a big happening in the local area.
