  • Butcher, that guy should be strung up by his left you know what. Making a out house on wheels out of a nice car.

    • I’ve never seen a traditional outhouse with electricity, and besides, maybe it was one of those funky 2 door sedans?

      • There is a "rule" that I try to remember. It's his car (truck or whatever) and he can do what he wants to do with his own stuff. We may not like it, but that's how I try to approach things.

        • Judging by his success as an artist, not to mention his craftmanship, he probably lives there. Ahead of his time with the current tiny house trend. We had in Tucson a similar artist by the name of Brother Stash. He has a decorated 1962 Studebaker Lark. On his last visit to the hospital they asked him about his tobacco use. He replyed a pound a day.

Not a two door sedan. It was likely a car damaged in the rear and not worth much at the time. Lots of cars that are rare and sought after now were turned into trucks, sawmills, and worse when they were just used cars.

            1952 Commander 2 door. Really fine 259.

I was looking at the fenders and hood. They don't look blunt enough for a sedan and the cove stops on the door.

                    • What a perfect position to work on the undercarriage.

Aside from the roof, the Stude looks ready to go! Once that spilled fluid gets put back where it leaked from...

                      • Wow! 'Looks like it has been over a full week since there's been a new post to this topic.

Well, I'm disappointed that there isn't more than one Studebaker in this parking lot scene. It is fall 1964 and students are moving into the dorms at Ball State Teacher's College [at the time] in Muncie IN. I would hope to see more Studebakers in an Indiana school in the fall of 1964, but, alas, I can only find one.

'Anyone find it...or more than "it?" BP

'Didn't realize they had any but, no; they don't count.

(I did find a picture of Studebaker East):
