The bus photo looks like it was taken somewhere out west (Palm trees, Route 66) any idea where this is?

Can you imagine how much money GM had tied up in building and running those busses, hard to believe they would go bankrupt 50 years later.

Looks like Los Angeles. It's hard to impress those Angelians.

That is Foothill Blvd. Could be anywhere between San Bernadino and Rosemead Blvd. in Pasadina. Looking East.

There were 2 of those buses in South Bend at the fairgrounds inside the swap building. It was a few years ago at the national antique truck show.

Thanks for posting that!! The building was originally the Alberta Government Telephones head office until 1969-70 when they moved to a bigger building, and is now known as the 'Legislature Annex', housing various Provincial Government departments. It was built from 1951 to 1953, and was most likely Canada's first 'glass-curtainwall' structure. http://maps.edmontonheritage.ca/agt-building

It still stands, but with the threat of demolition. However, there are many who want to see it saved, including myself, as it an excellent local example of Mid-Century-Modern architecture.

Short sleeves and snow.

Starlight coupe with a nice little luggage rack. The short drip rails prevented many racks from fitting a Starlight. Picture must be in summer because the snow is melting and people are in shorts.
