The fifth car up from the Studebaker (the convertible with the top down); anybody want to hazard a guess as to what it is?

Not a lot to go on due to the little exposure of the car. However, looking at the scene as a whole, it is striking at how many Chrysler products are there. So, I think they should be given statistical significance. It would be easy to just say "One" of the big three, but that's easy. I'm thinking of either a 1950/52 Chrysler or Chevy. The reason is that both were still using two-piece windshields on their Convertibles. Both had hood and fender lines flowing through the doors. Some had very prominent hood ornaments that could rule out some models due to only a hint of one shown in this photo. Just a wild guess on my part, but I'm thinking of a lower price Plymouth, Chrysler, or Chevy. (?)

Because of how the hood & fender design flows, I'm not thinking it is a Ford product, nor any of the other independents still around. Studebaker, as far as I know, was using only one piece windshields on their Convertibles.

All I see is a Windshield. If there were VW "Things" or Citroen CV1's back then, it could have been one!

The only Citroen I know of back at that time was the deux chevaux. (2CV which roughly translates 2 horse power)That would indeed be a rare sight at the time the picture was taken.

OK maybe I remembered those things wrong, the ones that always run around in the those Moves set in France.
I thought I remembered an Open Car CV-1, but they must have been 2CV's like this one.
Certainly not in the Pic we're talking about.

To me they do resemble VW Things though,
a Go Cart with a body!

That's a Sahara, quite super-rare 4 wheel drive with two engines; one in the rear & gas tanks under the seats, that's why the filler cap in the door.
The ordinary ones were made from 1948 to 1990 & far far away from a go cart, not like other hard-suspensioned small cars, try one out if you can, it has a ride softer than anything exept a DS/ID. (& horse power from 9 to 32!)

Oddly, this is an English car with left hand drive. But I think they never bothered to offer a RHD version of the Sahara.

One would think they would have used a brand new Wagonaire and found a creative way to advantageously demonstrate the sliding roof in that camping & outdoor recreation show!!
