I cannot figure this out. All of the photos game from the same source and show up on my home computers just fine. Either I need to stop posting or have you folks just put up with my posts that do not have pictures showing up

Joe: Are you posting them through a Photobucket account? That's the way I always do mine and they always seem to show up.

Please don't give up on this thread; yours are among the most prolific and interesting here. Much appreciated. BP

If you didn't get the picture in the original post how is that in your quote it showed up? I just do not understand all of this.

Joe, you may recall that I posted a "quote" to you and the same thing happened. I couldn't see the pic, but you could. Another phenomenon I have just discovered while trying to figure this out myself. If I right click on the "X" icon, several options pop up. If I then click on the "copy image location" (for example, post number 9062) and then paste it into the address bar of a new tab, it will open up a full screen, black background, with that "X" icon in the center. (Hope you are following this???) Then, when I hit the "refresh" button...the picture appears! I've gone through these steps on other Xed out pics, and it works.

What is so interesting to me about post#9062 is that it seems to be one of the segregated beaches if the era. Perhaps, Cherry Grove, or Atlantic Beach??? It is an example of how far we've come since then, because I had almost forgotten they ever existed. Perhaps one reason is that I was probably in the 10th grade before I ever saw the ocean.

Anyway, something is amiss with some of these pics. I don't know if it's from the source, your method of transferring, settings of us who can't see them, or a combination of all. Regardless, I have found a way to view them, but it does take a little jumping through computer hoops to get there.

Please don't stop posting though. You are a great counterbalance to some of the goofy stuff I post.

It did not show up on my computer in your quote either. I enjoy your pictures when I can see them -- was just hoping that someone smarter than me could figure out why only some pix were not being presented.

I'm missing the same ones you're missing, John. Tried your technique above and it worked.
