        • Looks like a lucky owner of a hard luck Guppy....
1963 Champ "Stu Bludebaker"- sometimes driver
1957 Silver Hawk "Josie"- picking up the pieces after an unreliable body man let it rot for 11 years from an almost driver to a basket case
1951 Land Cruiser "Bunnie Ketcher" only 47M miles!
1951 Commander Starlight "Dale"- basket case
          1947 Champion "Sally"- basket case
1941 Commander Land Cruiser "Ursula"- basket case

That looks like it is possibly the '55 coupe that had hit a bridge abutment that I purchased for the low mileage 1957 Golden Hawk engine in it. I had previously tried to purchase the engine, but another guy bought it, installed it in a '55 coupe and then wrecked the car in short order. I bought the wreck and put the engine in a 1953 Commander Starliner (one of several that I have owned).
I can't see it clear enough, but is that possibly my Dodge Custom 880 in the background (the color is correct)?

                • #9815 Garry, I also thought about the car over yonder, I had a -62 Chrysler for some years so I'm soft for those, but I can't see the rear lights either.
It also looks like the Studebaker has been crashed a while since therer's surface-rust where the paint is gone.

                          • At least he could have backed in so they did not have to carry the parts very far...or maybe this is the opposite of "ring the bell if you had good service"...

                            • Post #9819...the color of that truck looks to be Safety Yellow like ones used nationwide in public service, like Highway departments, municipal/county governments, and school bus service trucks. At least a 1955 or newer truck. Wonder if it was still being used commercially, or already sold to an individual. Tail lights have been relocated to just above the rear bumper.
Somebody's gotta lotta 'splaining to do.

As I remember it from painting a VW bug while back in college it is called Federal Safety Yellow. Of course being in college I simply painted the car with rattle can paint bought at a discount store.
