Christophe (#7287); where I grew up (Stockholm) we had ALL kinds of car brands, even Russian Volga's & US cars was always around, even some Studebakers!
The Renaults was usually original but some were wild, & I mean WILD!!! ones... I was a kid so I didn't have a clue about what they did to them, exept I DO remember the Gordini & Alpine equipped engines when looking under the rear lid.
The coolest guys had 4cv's with wide wheels & stuff, there was even one blue metallic 4cv drag-racing, didn't impress much compared to 426 Hemi Dodge's & 454 Corvette's thou, but it was there & raced.
My 1:st car was a -61 Floride, gee that car made me realize what rust is...
