Studebakers in the 1963 Shell 4000 Rally: 1963 saw lots of competition from not only European teams but from U.S. manufacturers as well. First overall was a Chevy II. First Studebaker was in 27th place.

That last photo...I'll be doing the very same thing to my '83 Avanti 'Everyday Driver' in a couple of weeks!...We DRIVE 'em here in New England!!

Check out the camera lens distortion on the extreme left of that photo; it makes the front of the car look angled back, rather than as vertical as it is in real life.

If it really was that way, you'd never get the headlights aligned! Interesting. BP

#7329 is Silverhawk Dan doing a burnout in his hawk sometime in the mid-sixties in the San Fernando Valley. I think brother Bill took the photo. That was a very fast car.
