  • I`m going out on a limb here and i`m 99 % sure there`s a Studebaker in this pic .......................

    • There sure is, Andrew, and what an unusual sight!

I'm not sure of the exact year and model, but judging from the other cars in the photo, it is at least 20 years old; rare at the time to still be on the street looking at all presentable. BP

      • 31 or 32 Studebaker 6 judging from the short engine hood. Also has wood spoked wheels which is rare.

        • Is this Bulletnose showing its Weasel genetics?

          • Rather interesting is that '49 Kaiser Virginian "4 door coupe" (as Mercedes would have called it) across parked across the street.

              • That sign is what needs to be "safety checked"; not the car, with it leaning ominously like that!

I thought about that too when I first saw the picture. Those long 2x4's look rather spindly don't they? They needed to park something other than a Studebaker under that sign.

                  • Hey guys, if that signs in Greenville, Tennessee, it's straight because it's on the side of a hill, it's everything else that's leaning ! You know they used a level ! Being from Tennessee and having a limp, I always tell folks I walk like this because of the slopes I grew up on, ha !

                      • Re #1886, yes a 1932 Studebaker Dictator 8 model 62 or a Studebaker Six model 55. The two cars were identical except for the drive train. Note it is missing the left fender light lens, the crank hole cover and horn trumpet (most had dual horns). The front bumper is also not production. Obviously a car that had a lot of use and at least 15 years old from the looks of the other cars in the background..
