  • Body / Glass: Goldenhawk trunk question

    I've got a 56j Goldenhawk that I'm finishing up bodywork on. I've got a trunk here that I think is a 57. What are all the little holes for? I'm guessing some king of trim, but I don't see this trim on a restored 57. Can anyone explain? And the trunk is upside down in this picture...

    It is a Trunk Lid.
    It is from a '62 or '63 GT Hawk, the holes are for the aluminum overlay panel.

    What matters on these similar but different from '56 to '57-'62 Decklids is the lock and latch mounting holes and Nameplates location, a '56 was much lower.

    Here is a '56 Sky Hawk with the correct Decklid:

    Here is a '56 Golden Hawk that someone figured out how to use a '57 Decklid on incorrectly. Correct ones have been VERY hard to find since about 1958 like the one-off '56 Hood:
