l say this is a 3-fer! # 1 in fore-ground, #2 a '50 parked facing camera down a block by the second telephone pole on left and a #3, another possible '50(?), poking a small portion of its rear out from the angle parking - the first car beyond the building on the right! Does anyone confirm?

        • I do believe you are correct, STEWDI.

            • I second that in British Columbia. Heading for Arizona real soon. The pic above may be an Early Packard coming towards us makin a twofer!

              • Snow, no thanks, glad to stay away from that. I think the Packard is correct, but pardon my car ignorance, which one is the Studebaker? I don't think the pickup is, looks maybe like a Chevy to me, could be wrong though, not a lot of pixels on that one.

Nice to see the person responsible for this thread, returning and creating post #12414. I still have a couple hundred more and find them pretty frequently - it might outlive us all.

Actually, 14 years ago! I thought it would be a good topic but never thought it would become the longest thread in the history of the forum.

Take this to a body shop, replace the grille, left front fender assembly, bumperette and radiator; straighten the bumper and you're good to go. Probably a 2025 car with the same damage would be written off.

Even with less damage as the airbag would crack the dashboard & there you go the long expensive way that companies don't wanna go, saw it in a garage not long ago...

                  • Are those whitewalls on the front of the truck? If so, don't think I've ever seen that before.

                    • That's not a Texas truck license plate. Looks like the Mexican numbering format.

Saw that, probably is. I'm guessing they were seasonal migrant labors, brought their trucks up with them to work the farms, maybe they were allowed to do that back then. Not sure about the whitewalls on a big commercial farm truck, but they apparently had good taste in trucks back then!

My grandparents had a small house on their property for migrant workers to live in as they came through Central Texas doing farm work. I think one family stayed year-after-year for a dozen years or so.
