In Post 11,202, Studebaker's Market penetration is looking awfully THIN in that City, in with all those Big Three Cars, only One or Two!
That would probably be less than 1%! Nationwide we know it was at least 2 or 3% depending of course on year.
This looks like probably Late '58, not many '59's yet.

I guess the Larks had not hit the Road in numbers yet there!

That's a '56 Parkview V8 or Pelham 6, if it is broken down there on the side of the Road, might be the Later!

It's REALLY hard to tell if that other Wagon is a '55 Mercury or Ford with the Low Def. Photo.

About the Ninth one back in that same row is a '53-'54 C or K! There are Hoods up on each side of it.

That sure seems like a Huge number of '55 to '57's!
All likely going on a Boat in a Port somewhere, maybe Seattle, WA or Long Beach, CA.
The Cars look Way too complete to be scrapped. But then again back in 1958, I don't see all those Parts not being saved.

If it is a Police Impound lot, that is just Humongous, only Los Angeles could have THAT many, if that is even possible!

If you check the photo properties, it is titled "Police1", so may well be a metropolitan police impound.
Don't really see any crash damage; but why so many hoods and trunks open?

I could be wrong, but it appears to me that 1-2 and 3 are traveling together, and 2&3 are waiting for 1 to let them in after clearing the island.
