#9447 is the USS Kitty Hawk coming into Bremerton, WA in 1964 for an overhaul. Since she would be in the shipyard for about a year, her home port was temporarily changed allowing many sailors to bring family members and cars along.

He is holding onto it because it is a rumble seat coupe. The step can be seen on the fender and the trunk handle is at the top of the lid. Rare by 1936.
