Thanks. But am not sure I was old enough to feel proud or appreciate the effort that went into the buses. The plastic windows are now yellowed with age, so it's hard to see that they were completely equipped inside, with seats, stairs to the second deck, dashboard, and steering wheel. My father never finished some of the details or the lettering on the the open-top bus -- I guess after the War, metal toy cars and trucks were again available, and life intervened. But both buses got used a lot. Note crunched rear corner on the closed-top model.

From the December 20, 2020 Old Motor. Rarely is a 1956 Studebaker Champion (no V8 flags) one of the biggest cars in a parking lot!
(I hope some of those people don't want to leave before others, because about half the cars are boxed in and will be unable to do so!
)
