Out of those five cars, Buick is the only one still manufactured.

Two out of nine cars. Too bad sales weren't like that.

Even then, things were different in California than in New York. I see at least two Volvos and many VWs. What is the small/tiny car nose-to-nose with the white Mustang that is a couple of cars over from the Hawk? Something different than most of the posts here is that the Hawk is one of the newest cars.

                        • Could be a AH Sprite and Irvine dosen't look like that any more. Today all you can see are buildings instead of fields.

                          • All of the Mustangs are at least 3 years newer than the Hawk.

I agree that the Mustangs are newer. I see 1965-1966 Mustangs and the Hawk is either a 1962 or 1963 (looks more like a 1962 from what I can see).

My main point was that in most of the posts here, the Studebaker is about 8 to 10 years older than most of the other cars around it.

It is a rather interesting photo. With the exception of the Mustang, its all foreign cars parallel parked to the side where the stairs are, which includes the majority of the VW Beetles on the lot. Besides the Beetles, there's a Porsche 356, Toyota Corona, and a Fiat 1100 sedan. I agree the small 2-seater nose-to-nose is a 1961 or later A-H Sprite.
