Okay this is a long shot, but I believe the pinkish car this side of blue number 17 is a early '50's Studebaker.

This looks like it could be at the old St. Helens Speedway - 1/2 mile dirt, off Highway 30 near St. Helens, Oregon. Check out <donhallracing.com> photo gallery 8 for some other pictures. If you go through the entire photo gallery you will see a couple of other Studebakers.

Picture in post 7852 sure looks like the Hamilton Plant.

The Studebaker in #7846 has Dutch plates, even if it's photographed in Belgium.

To think this famous Studebaker custom could have been bought for this price is just plain mind boggling. Of course if that is in 1958 dollars now it would be better than $12,000. Still to buy that car today for that price would still be a deal.
