Yep, saw that Exhaust cutout, a Left Hand Pipe means it is not likely the original 6 Cyl. Engine that would be in a 59S-F4 '59 2 Door Sedan.
There also may be a Tow Bar Bracket under the front bumper, definitely a RACER!

And it's quite a New Car with the "We stand behind the Quality of this vehicle" paper sticker still on it!

From what I can see in that photo #7353, the car in the back looks like a C body.

        • r1lark, here is my post from F-Book for ya' ! Easy on me guys, I was poor and young, ha !

How many of you have done something more frightening than this ? I welded a V-8 steering link and the original 6 cyl one together that I then bolted to a narrowed Econoline axle that was spliced with a piece of square tube steel, fastened to the 61 Ranchero's unibody with home-made shackles, had a Bronco rear-end bolted to the bottom of the rear leaf springs, made a tow bar out of 1/2 inch flat stock, welded on a second hand trailer coupler I found, and then bolted it to my 53's original bumper mount holes with two flat stock extensions so it could swivel up and down. Then, towed it around 300 miles... Oh, the tires on the 53 were all second hand, ancient bias plies that didn't match.. Just a tiny bit iffy, huh ? I loved living back then in those "Make Do" days, and don't remember ever getting killed with my "great ideas", ha ! The Ranchero was kept for more than 25 years in the family, and never gave a minutes trouble, then sold to a lady over-the-road-trucker ! The 53 still exists, but not with me anymore. John Baxter, are you out there ?

That Lark had a 392 Hemi engine. That picture looks like one from one of the Petersen engine swapping books. I have that article somewhere.

It is possible that is my '55 Coupe behind Dan's Hawk. It was painted almost the same color as dad's Golden Hawk. I can't quite make out if the one in the photo has the stainless halo band over the rear window or not.
