It is a Lancia Aurelia cabriolet, produced 1950-53. At the time all Lancia's were right hand drive. It started life as a one off stylists exercise, but received such positive reviews that it was put into limited production. All of them were hand built and vary somewhat in their specifications depending on the original purchasers requirements. In spite of their appearance they were rather mediocre performers, being powered by a small displacement, low horsepower V6,

        Sorry for the late reply.
In fact, it's the Loewy's first personal Avanti in France.
Here it is in May 2016 in Clermont-Ferrand.

        • Am thinking #6572 is a posed picture, mebbe from a movie?
Don't know what else but flood lights would have generated that shadow on the bottom of the Studebaker.

In the color photo they have enlarged the rear wheel opening, raising it a couple inches. Notice how it has cut into the Studebaker lettering and the wheel well molding no longer goes to the bottom of the body.

I would have expected a straight 6 back then.

                    • Loewy with a Final Prototype Avanti, a 4-door never produced. It looks a lot like the Porsche Panamera.
