I need some help with this picture. It was taken in 1961 on the campus of what was then called East Carolina Teachers College, now East Carolina University, in Greenville, North Carolina. I have trouble identifying the Studebaker in the photo. If I could see the front or rear of the car I might venture a guess to the details, but without those views I cannot figure out what year/model it is. Thanks for any help you can give me.

That's gonna be tough, Joe, as small as is the image.
I blew it up several times and it gets so fuzzy that the needed details are lost.
Best guess, and that's all it can be unless someone can do better, is it being a 1947-1949 Champion 4-door sedan. That's not cast in stone, though; if anyone can do better, please have at it.BP

Even though you can't see the taillights, I'm guessing they are not horizontal. So for no particular reason I'll say 1952. Also, notice the SUV in the background. Isn't that 1990s or newer model?Restorations by Skip Towne

The picture is so small that I can't do anything with it. Odd that my computer won't even offer me the option of opening it in Paint. If you could repost it in a more manageable form maybe we could find a clue."In the heart of Arkansas."

1952 Commander 2 door. Really fine 259.

I was afraid of that I can't make it any bigger either. For some reason even when I copy it to Word as a document I cannot enlarge it. The SUV is really a Chevy or GMC panel truck. I'm thinking a '55 or so. There is a '54 Chevy in front of it. I copied this from a digital file from East Carolina University, but they have changed their format that will not let me copy or enlarge it. I will work on it and see what I can come up with. Thanks guys for trying.Joe Roberts
