          • The photo #3525 was identified by Greenstude Bill J. as being in Nova Scotia. It was recently posted on a Brit car forum with this caption:

The setting is Halifax's Armdale Rotary on Nov. 21, 1961, where Halifax police and the RCMP are on the look out for an escapee from the Halifax County Jail. Here we see a Mountie passed by an Anglia. There are more Brit cars in the line up, check out the enlargement.

We had wondering why an RCMP officer would be doing traffic duty in Halifax City Police territory.

The other British vehicles are: Bedford CA van behind the Rambler, 1955-58 Morris Oxford above the GM parcel van (this Oxford was the basis for the recently discontinued Hindustan Ambassador), partially abscured by the Dodge pickup is a 1957-59 Austin Cambridge and the white station wagon on the right is a 1957-61 Vauxhall Victor, There is also another German vehicle other than the Beetles and the VW Transporter. Above the Bedford is a late 50's German Ford Taunus.

I'm thinking one is trying to jumpstart the other, not both broken down.
