I don't know if there is any $$$ to be made but PCV valves for the Carter AFB 4bbls. & vacumn advances for the Prestolite V/8 distributors are next to impossible to find.

I vote for reproduction '53 & '54 C/K Grille Bars and Surround Mouldings. Maybe the tough type (ABS) plastic chromed plated would be possible![^][^]
I am looking into making them out of fiberglass and then chroming or not chroming them. Looked at some chromed fiberglass parts, that just looking, I could tell no difference between the glass ones and the pot metal ones.64 Champ long bed V8

I know of efforts to do such stuff in ABS. The results were less than acceptable. Obviously - with enough money to throw at such a project, plastic ones COULD be made (look at today's cars & trucks). But money's a primary concern here unless we see more and more Studes being handled by Barrett-Jackson - in which case alot of us on this forum wouldn't have to worry about it anyway!
I DO think that the fiberglass pieces might be the way to go. Even if it was tough-to-impossible to chrome them, for the rodding community, these would be great (cause they tend to paint them anyway) and they'd provide some relief for what's left of the pot metal pieces. '55 front pieces should be done as well along with all the C-K taillight housings too!

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Yes, I meant the green ones in the dash.
ALSO, what we really, really need are reproduction 1962 GT hawk front exterior turn signal lenses with the plastic chrome edging!!"Madness...is the exception in individuals, but the rule in groups" - Nietzsche.

Small parts that don't require much, or major parts that require time and investment. As the stash of NOS parts dwindles, the future of many of our vehicles will depend on the speculators.
1951 hood release cable.
1959-60 Lark fresh air valve (the little flapper that fits within the front fenders).
1956 Transtar hood. (It could happen.)
I really could go on and on but, if there is merit to these questions only time will tell.

Brad, a 56 Transtar hood would fit all C-cab trucks 1956 to 1964.
The emblem hole could be covered for Scotsman truck use.
