  • Engine: 200 4R TV Cable Attachment On a WCFB Carburetor

I need to know what the measurement is from the center line of the carburetor throttle shaft to the center line of the fitting that the TV cable attaches to on a WCFB carb. I'm going to make up this arm, and attach it to the throttle linkage on the WCFB.

Do take your time on this. There's also a site owned by BowTie Overdrive who was an immense help to me. They have adapters to give the correct geometry on your throttle attachment point

I've used Bow Tie before, with Edelbrocks. I contacted them about a Throttle Arm for a WCFB/TV cable, and they couldn't help me.

I've done one myself from scratch. All you have to do is measure carefully and make sure to get the degrees/clock position correct. It's much, much easier with the carb off the car. The one I did has worked great for many years without incident.

Sorry, no template. I used a combination square and caliper to get all the angles and the measurements. I might could get a pic of the one a made??

Not a WCFB, but I made my own for an Edelbrock. I measured as best I could with calipers. As you can see I opted to make my own cable bracket - and make it adjustable. The arm was from a GM throttle body and I modified it to fit. The angle Gage isn't visible but I strove to get both the distance and angle correct. By making the attachment in the vertical plan it allowed spacers (if needed) to increase the length. Note, this was for a 700R4 (with Chevy 350), not sure if the 200R4 is the same. BTW, where were all you "I made my own" guys when I was asking a few years back? All I got was a lot of flack for being a CASO and not spending $100+ for the ready made stuff because everyone was sure some "outsider" couldn't make one. All the best in your efforts.

I didn't own a Stude until just last year when I joined this wed site. I would have helped anyone with the same question as i did the OP if I had been around a few years ago.
                Nice pics!!
