    59 - 60 Rambler Americans had normal shift handles coming out of a boss in the dash.
    Actually it just looked like it was coming from the dash. It came from the steeing mast just like most other cars, just a bit lower on the mast. Kind of'a 60's version of that artsy type stuff. Actually kinda cool for an early 60's Rambler!

    I've got two of those Chrysler push button mechanisms. Dieing to put one into something. Maybe into the 55 Conestoga when I get it running!?

    As did late 50's early 60's Ramblers; seems like those were grouped in a square or quadrant, where as the 60's Chrysler products ran in a line from top to bottom, with a sliding lever for Park.

    Didn't 58-59 Mercs have pushbutton transmissions? I think my parents had one.

    59 Studebaker push-button trans?

    I saw an ad for a '59 Studebaker sedan with a flathead 6 and pushbutton trans. Does this exist? Did Stude do pushbuttons?
