  • Body / Glass: 58 PH fin strip joiner?

I’m really confused about those fin trim joiners. I see an illustration with that clip on page 474 of the 53-58 chassis parts manual.
It is 1604-51-7 but I can’t find a part number for that item.
On page 269 of the body parts manual it shows the body fin moldings, but no trim clip or joiner on the fin molding leading edge.
The parts book jumps from 1601-38 over to 1602 - the ones in between are missing (fin moldings are 1601-51-5 and 1601-51-4)
Was there a parts book supplament that covered these ?
I have the 58 shop manual supplement but it doesn't have part numbers.
Did 58 PH have these joiners from the factory or ????

Mine had a joiner on it. It has a single screw in the middle, it is slightly smaller than the trim, and the trim slips over it hiding the screw.

Both these have the screw hole and they were over not under the fin strips when we took them off. Matthew B. said they go under as well.

        Yeah,

If memory serves, the leading edges top and bottom slip onto the point piece and it's held by a screw that's concealed once they are in place. Can't confirm 'cuz the body is at my friend's house until I begin the body this spring.
