Wish I could help. Kinda been wondering the same myself, but my car was white from the factory. Wouldn't have a clue if it's another Studebaker color now or not...

Don't know if those Canadian built models have production orders on file in South Bend or not. If they do...
The Studebaker National Museum Online Store is the place to shop for all of your Studebaker related merchandise needs....

Here's also a link to some color chips for 1958 Studebakers.
Huge supplier of Automotive Paint, Auto Body Supplies, Airbrush Equipment, Car Detailing Supplies, Pinstripe Paint, Spray Guns & Safety Respirators at Wholesale Prices. Our items are factory direct and we carry a wide variety of Top Quality Brands.

Your best bet may be to find an area of untouched original color (under trunk lid, inside glovebox door, etc.) and have your paint jobber read it with a color scanner. That will produce the closest modern formula to match what you had.

Can we assume the paper tag that was glued to the underside of the glovebox, and indicated the original color, is gone?

Thank-you guys, rockne10, I'm gonna look today, I had no clue about the paper tag, everything else has been here (tags on back of seats etc), I'm trying to get a sample ordered for the int/seats etc, but can't find a trim code for the this puppy or where ever to look for it in all the stuff, I'm finding..... could tell you in a heartbeat the codes for an Edsel, but as we all know Studebaker did it better!!, thanks again, will look before I'm off to work

There is some information in the front of both the "Chassis Parts Manual" and the "Body Parts Catalog" for you car.
The body tag "58G" calls out that it's a Champion [6 cylinder]. "W4" means it's a 4 door sedan, "Deluxe", with a wrap around windshield.
The next number shows that it was the 2665th body of that type manufactured.
The serial # shows it's a Canadian built car. It is just a serial number, doesn't break down information like new vin numbers do.
If it's available the production order for your car is the only place to find how your car was outfitted from factory.
The paint tag was a piece of paper glued to the underside of the glove box. Some times they are still in place.
The TCPGlobal site will show the paint colors available that year and code numbers.
The engine serial number is hand STAMPED on a flat spot at the top of the engine. There is an engine identification chart on the "Tech Tips" page on the SDC homepage.
It's a real good idea to at least buy the Shop Manual. AND the Chassis Parts Manual. AND the Body Parts Catalog.
You can get them on disc inexpensive.
Oh yeah the serial number is also hand stamped on the last [back] frame crossmember. Lay under the car, feet sticking out the back, it is on the bottom flange toward the passenger side.
It may be rusted off yours because they weren't stamped very deep or protected at all.

This site can help you with the colors that were used on your model and year but not the exact automobile. Like mentioned earlier you may be able to find a spot of original color in a doorjamb, under the hood, trunk, under a light bezel etc. Good luck. I purchased the production order from the Studebaker Museum and it had the data included for mine. For what it's worth.
