Hey, look on the positive...now you know the converter will hold fluid. I have one that is self draining.

I always figure if you can't laugh at yourself, somebody ELSE will be glad to!

Right after reading up on the whole process in the shop manual where it specifically says to drain the torque converter too...I walked into the garage and promptly forgot.

Thanks for the compliment on the Commander, Clark. Only had it a year or so. We are still building a relationship.

John, the T-10 that is taking its place will probably leak, but it won't be from the torque converter.

Just can't wait to go through the gears again. (btw, the 55,000 mile FlightOMatic is now up for sale. Nice, crisp shifts. If anyone needs one.)

In reference to me my wife says that you can only be a kid once, but you can be immature forever.

        Guess that's me.

Make sure you don't forget to dial indicate the new bellhousing to the engine.

As far as the "immature," I tell my wife that's what she gets for marrying a guy with an unfinnished childhood.

Thanks John. I just picked up (borrowed!) a magnetic based dial indicator this afternoon from a buddy. I'm hoping the existing pin locations are ok, but you just have to check to make sure. We shall see.

Can't be any worse than filling the tranny and starting the car only to find there was no plug in the convertor. Don't ask me how I know.
