  • Engine: serial number ? LS795

I have a early super charged 289? installed in a 58 Silverhawk. (transplanted motor) I bought the car over 6 years ago and never looked at the serial number. Yesterday a guy wanted to buy the car and we wrote down the serial number. LS 795
I expected a munber to start with P. This number surprised me.
Can anyone explain the LS number to me?
    thanks, Ronnie

Thanks Frank. That makes sence. I just assumed it would have came out of a 57/58 Goldenhawk. (looking forward to seeing you guys again sometime soon)

That would have been my assumption as well Ron, who would have thought someone yanked that motor out of a 57 Packard since they made so few. Same here old buddy, sooner or later we'll run into each other! Maybe the Zone Meet in Gering, we are going.
