Looking for a good set of OE light duty rear springs. Will pay freight. Prefer doing this to modifying my existing OE heavy duty springs, which raise the back end of the truck so high it looks like it is in heat . Can anybody help me out? Best, Phil.

Hi, Phil,
Asking everyone for confirmation. How we identify HD and light-duty springs? How many leaves in main pack and how many in the overload section? Many are seven-and-seven, so which is this?
Phil, check your g-mail ASAP.

can a truck guy fill me in.. ?
Are the early R series leaves narrower ? If so, can you use the hangers from a C Cab or Champ ?
Can you use 1/2 and or 3/4 ton springs from a C cab or Champ, just remove a few leaves to get the ride/ride height you need?
I have a few sets from C and T cabs, up here in Ferndale, WA

The 1/2 ton T cab uses a 2" wide spring that is the same length, approx. front to rear. I have seen up to 1/4" diff. in length from the eye to the center of the spring, so I put the shorter side to the front. I always use odd number of leaves. Would like myself to know if the early trucks were any different.

All- My parts manual goes only up to 2E. Light duty leaf counts are 15 total (very early 2R10 or 11), 16 and 13. Heavy duty counts are 16, 14, and 14. I have seen only one light duty set, on a very early 2R11. That had 5 leaves (helper) over 10 (main) or 15 total. The main leaf on the helper spring had asbestos pads riveted on that bore on the 3rd leaf of the main spring, like the photo in the shop manual. So, I am looking for 15, 16, or 13 leaf springs. Anybody know of such a set? Best, Phil.
