Clutch / Torque Converter: Harmonic balancer

My buddy was watching the harmonic balancer on the front of my
Champion 6 cylinder and he noticed that when I pushed in the clutch
the balancer would move forward. He says this shouldn't happen.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. He thinks the clutch will
eventrually fail. Joe

Crankshaft endplay is not correct. I haven't done a champion but the commander motor and all stude v-8 have the crankshaft endplay setup with shims during assembly of bottom end. Clutch failure is the least of your worries, compared to excess crankshaft endplay.
