  • oil line restricter opening

I've rebuilt a 289 from a 62 Hawk and am installing into a 62 truck. The oil filter sits on top of the engine, off the oil filler tube. On the inlet to the oil filter there should be a fitting with a certain size hole to restrict, somewhat, the amount of oil entering the filter. Does anybody know what size that hole should be? Or even better, what size drill bit to use? thanks- Leon

This post is one of many found with the Search Function.

    http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...hTerms=oriface,

Here Gary Ash mentions a .045 to .060 restrictor fitting.

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

      G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.
