  • Body / Glass: hawk fin moldings

I need to replace the inner fin moldings on my 57 hawk, the last person had epoxied all the studs into the 1/4 panel and had to basically destroy the moldings to get them off. Does any vendor sell better ones than any other? Is it worth buying the ones with the front section pre-bent? I could also use any and all tips for getting them bent to fit. Thanks

Classic Enterprises has the moldings and I believe Studebaker International has the T bolts. Been ages since I put one on, but it was not a terribly difficult job. Don't you just hate it when you find a mess like that--especially now that parts are $$$!

Yes, that kind of stuss is always fun, and this car has been full of surprises

Ain't it annoying to have to un-fix some po's "fixes" ?

Buy the pre-bent ones from classic enterprises. It is almost impossible to bend the straight ones without putting a kink in them without some sort of special tooling.
