Body / Glass: Hawk Window Regulator Interchange

Will a window regulator from a 1962 GT Hawk fit a 1957 Golden Hawk. The parts book indicates the same regulator is used for 1959 to 1963 C and K body cars (Hawks). But shows a different parts number for 1957 to 1958 Hawks and another number for 1956 Hawks. From what I can observe, C/K doors look pretty much identical from 56 to 64, at least the main structure.

Later regulators have a slightly longer shaft to accommodate the plastic escutcheons used. So, the regulators are functionally interchangeable, but may need to use said escutcheon.
