I have a 1960 289 Hawk that when I bought it had been converted to electronic ignition. The ignition works great but the tach has never worked.what are my options?

There are lots of types of "electronic ignition". If Rafe's wiring diagram doesn't help, and the tach is known good, you may need one of these...

Thanks for that Link Dick, I did not know that Co. made a "Fix"/Conversion for the old school Sun Tach Senders like I have in the '54 converted to 12 Volt.
Other Batt. removal conversion Kits are more difficult to install.StudeRich

Pre-62 (so 61 and earlier) Stude tachometers did not use that type of sending unit. They had Delco distributors, and a pulse drive adaptor under the distributor cap. A Sun sending unit or any electronic sender will be useless.Bez Auto Alchemy
