Cool/Heat: A/C expansion valve sight glass gasket

Does anyone know of a gasket, maybe from a different manufacturer, that can be used to replace the one in an Avanti expansion valve sight glass. The one that was in originally is flat of unknown material. Barring a direct replacement, would an o-ring of the approximate size work? Thanks in advance.

Check at your auto parts store. Many store carry an AC parts kit that have many generic gaskets and seals. You might even be able to find a Copper gasket that will work too.

Sounds like your best shot for that rare part would be an Air Conditioning Shop.
They are the ones Most familiar with Details of A/C Systems, not most Auto Parts Stores or Studebaker Vendors.
