  • Engine: Piston slot orientation for new Egge pistons

New pistons do not have a "T" slot.
Manual states T slot goes to the "left" on all pistons , both banks.
Seems the radial slot follows this engineering?

My suggestion is to follow Egge's instructions. Is there an arrow stamped into the top of each piston? If so, that arrow normally points towards the front of the engine. If Egge didn't include any instructions, you can contact Leonel Perez at Egge (lperez@egge.com), he has always quickly answered my questions about their pistons.

Is there any notch or arrow on the piston top indicating pointing forward.

          Got some calipers?

I'd measure for piston pin offset. On the order of .06" so it will be very obvious with a basic caliper measurement.

The lack of an arrow on the top does suggest the pistons do not have offset pins.
