Engine: Crankshaft end clearance, thrust clearance

What is the tooling to set end clearance ?
Not looking for words, but a photo of set up to check clearance without pushing on all the gear/hub/pulley/etc.


Are there tools you can rent or borrow for this type work?
1. tool to hold thrust plate to check end play clearance
2. tool to push on gear, hub, pulleys
3. maybe something i havent thought of?

I have lots of dial indicators, even digital, lots of magnetic holders.

Maxey video tool, PVC pipe to tighten thrust plate to allow end play check.


Pusher tool to install timing gear
shaft is 5/8 all thread welded to crank bolt.



then stack a 1½ socket 3/4 drive, thick washer



Anyone have this to loan out ?
