  • Engine: Need a 259 crankshaft pulley part number

I have a full-flow 259 from a '64 Daytona in my M5. I don't have a '64 parts book. The crankshaft has 2 pulleys. The outer pulley is not running true and I want to replace it but I can't figure out what the part number is. Any help would be appreciated!

It may be a 533890 pulley. That's for '59-'64 V-8s. Did the donor car have a viscous drive?

I never saw the donor car. Bought the engine off the floor of a barn. I intended to use the internals for an engine rebuild by Digger Dave. He put it on the test stand and found compression was good and it ran fine so we just used it. The inner pulley runs the fan and an alternator. The outer pulley is now running a power steering pump but it's a little out of true so I want to replace it. There's no fan attached because of space issues in the engine compartment. I have an electric fan on the front of the radiator -- and, happily, no over-heating problems.

Fan drive and PS show the same part number pulley.

Bob, as several indicated the two pulleys are the same. There is a spacer p/n 534294 between the two pulleys. Should be easy to find a new pulley.
