  • Engine: Galleys

According to the dictionary a galley is an ancient ship or the kitchen of a ship. However a gallery is a passageway . In an engine it refers to the passageways that carry oil to various parts of the engine. Many use galleys to refer to these passageways; this is incorrect. Oil passageways in an engine are galleries.

What's with all of the "ways" ? Passageway, straightaway..? Where's the cornerway ? Too many...add-on words.

    It's JUST a "passage" . Or...better yet, a drilled hole !
