What brand and part number is appropriate for a dry air filter replacement on my 62 GT Hawk, 289 with WCFB carb?

    Wix filters are excellent. 61-64 V8 takes a # 42112

Any Brand that makes a cross reference Filter from the OEM, Original Fram Element: CA168PL will work fine.

NAPA shows their NAPA Gold: FIL 2112 by Wix, same as the Wix listed above.
Also the same in Baldwin Brand "Traction Line" # TWD PA 1648.
HOWEVER, they got it wrong like Many Auto Parts Stores are starting to do. .

The Outside Diameter is shown as: 6.375 Inches, 3.046 High ! This is the Small Element for 1959 to '60 V8's, and Sixes: 1547813 !!
The CORRECT OEM Original Fram was the CA168PL, it is Approx. 9 1/4" OD X 6 7/8" I.D.
      Stude. # 1552494 for '61 to '64 V8's !

Who WAS it, that said: you can't believe EVERYTHING you see on the Internet?

Found the WIX 42054 or FIL 2054 NAPA, but it looks like MAYBE the Size for the '63/'64 R1 Equipped Hawk, Lark Type and Avanti!

The correct Element for an R1, fits the '63 Ford "406" C.I.D. Police Interceptor Engines.
