i got a 1948 chanpion convertible out of a feild, that needs total restoration.i want to go with resto rod,fatman independent front suspension modern engine & tranmission. i also found a 1950 starlight for parts.what i want to know if i can put the 1950 bullit nose on the 1948. a friend said he thought it would interchange, if any has done it or if it can be done i could use sone info. i need to know soon befor i buy the parts car. thanks

Gary is correct about the 50 Champion sheet metal versus the Commander.
I recently saw a nice resto-rod 47-49 convertible with 51 front fenders & grille, 50 bullet and 'mustache' and 52 headlight trim. It was the best parts of several years combined. The 52 headlights should bolt on to 50 champion fenders.\"Ahh, a bear in his natural habitat...a Studebaker!\"
