  • Engine: ignition sequence 8 Cylinder

How is the ignition sequence at the 1932 Studebaker Commander 8 cylinders?
And which is the 1st and which of the 8 cylinders? Is the 1st to the clutch or the cooler looks?
    Thanks for answer

Number one is the front cylinder by the fan. I can look up the firing order in my old Motor's Manual if no one else answers first.

I just put this link on the other thread. It's for a 34' however, but should not be too different

      1970 Avanti (R3)

1-6-2-5-8-3-7-4 is the firing order from the link Bob just posted.

Curious; did these vintage distributors also turn counterclockwise?

Isn't the firing order on every V8 intake manifold?

Edit:Guilty of not reading slow enough to catch the 1932.

Yes it is on V8's but he has a 1932 Commander straight eight.

No, from the picture in Bob's link, this one for the straight eight turns clockwise.
