I just got off the phone with the guy. He said it is a '53 model, and bought it in 1967 and seems to believe that it IS a Frick car that might have been in an accident, and was made to look like a newer model Hawk. It has 19 coats of Lacquer paint on it. He found an old time GM mechanic that the AACA guys reccomended to get it running, and is looking for a good, top notch restoration shop to have it all redone. Anyone know of a good shop in the Pennsylvania area? He said he wouldn't have a problem moving it somewhere as long as it would be done right. He's wanting to restore it exactly as it is.

And money, well, that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Craig Piper, Westmoreland Restorations, in Blairsville, PA, off Route 22, is a pretty good place to get stuff done.
